Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Gurulight Pitru Paksha website and the offerings you make through it. By making an offering, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Questions? Email rituals@gurulight.com.

1. About the service

Gurulight facilitates devotional offerings for Pitru Paksha — Annadaan (donation of meals) and ancestral rituals (Shraadh, Tarpan and Pind Daan) — performed on your behalf by qualified priests at sacred locations. You provide the details; we arrange for the seva to be carried out with devotion.

2. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for providing accurate information, including the ancestral names you submit.
• You confirm that you are entitled to submit the details you provide and to request the offering.
• You agree to use the service respectfully and lawfully, and not to submit false or misleading information.

3. Offerings and payments

• Prices are shown in your selected currency (INR, USD or EUR) before you confirm.
• Payments are processed securely by our payment provider (Razorpay). By paying, you authorise the charge for the offering you selected.
• You are responsible for any bank charges, currency-conversion fees or taxes that may apply to your payment.
• After a successful payment you receive a unique reference ID; for rituals, you use it to provide your lineage details.

4. Nature of religious offerings

Offerings are devotional and spiritual in nature. We make sincere and diligent efforts to perform each rite correctly and on the appropriate days. Spiritual practices are a matter of faith, and we do not warrant or guarantee any particular material or spiritual outcome.

5. Cancellations and changes

If you need to change or cancel an offering, please contact us at rituals@gurulight.com as early as possible before the ritual date so we can assist. Once a ritual has been performed on your behalf, it cannot be undone.

6. Your information and privacy

We store and use your personal and lineage information only to perform your offering, as described in our Privacy Policy. We never sell it or share it with third parties for unrelated purposes.

7. Intellectual property

The content, design, text and imagery on this website belong to Gurulight or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gurulight is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability in connection with any offering is limited to the amount you paid for that offering. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the “last updated” date above shows the latest revision. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
